Partnership with British Gas is underway
British Gas has been chosen by CHG Property Services (part of The Community Housing Group) to manage all energy meters located within Wyre Forest Community Housing’s and Wyre Forest Sheltered Housing’s (both part of The Community Housing Group) empty properties.
This decision has followed consultation with both tenants and internal departments and has been in effect from 7th March 2011.
Issues with energy meters can delay empty properties being ready for a new tenancy, and can involve large administration costs. It is hoped that by letting British Gas manage the meters, costs will be reduced and there will be an improvement in turn around time for empty properties.
